CE has been studying since 1984 aiming at the exploration of fast analysis of living cells and minute biomolecules on both of laboratory-built and commercial instruments. Plastic and glass chips have also been studied on laboratory-built platforms. Chromatography has been including in the study recently. Recent projects include: 1) Separation and determination of plant hormone gibberellin, 2) Chiral separation, 3) Photonic crystal-based ultrafast separations. |

SPRi has been investigating since 1997 for high throughput analysis of intact or label-free biomolecules especially proteins with laboratory-established systems and instruments. High throughput analysis of cancer-related targets and/or molecules is currently focused. Recent projects include: 1) Fabrication of instruments based on new concepts, 2) Recognition of carbohydrates with agglutinin, 3) development of label-free immunoassay. |

MS has been inspecting since 2006. The research is currently focused on the development of new and portable ambient desorption and ionization sources and their application to the in situ and in vivo identification of bioactive molecules in living beings. Recent projects include: 1) Ambient MS analysis of gibberellin, 2) Development of new ionization sources and their applications, 3) Analysis of chemical language of insects. |
