The research interests of our group are focused on high-selective separation and detection methods based on molecular recognition.

A novel approach for screening specific peptides was developed by combining antisense-peptide approach and combinatorial peptide library. Targetable peptides have been effectively screened as influenza A virus and SARS-CoV inhibitors. Specific peptide probe for the detection of living cancer cells also has been developed. A flow injection analysis-quartz crystal microbalance (FIA-QCM) system has been successfully established and applied to real-time monitoring the dynamic interaction of biomolecules. We also interest in constructing advanced separation materials including molecularly imprinted polymers, spherical packing materials and matrix for affinity chromatography. The present research also involves the fabrication of microfluidic chips for in-situ synthesis and detection of peptides.
